One thing we can all depend on Cardi B to do is spice things up and put her entertaining spin on everything she touches. And although she is still making us wait for her second studio album, she at least keeps us guessing in other fun ways.
On January 19, Cardi B announced on Instagram that she will not only be headlining this year’s Victory FanFest in New Orleans on February 8, but that she and her Whipshots brand will be partnering with Malibu Drinks to make the party even more enjoyable. This is perfect timing considering Mardi Gras is on February 4 and Super Bowl LIX will be taking place on February 9. The festival being held during the same week is the cherry on top of a nonstop NOLA party for sports and music fans alike.
What is Victory FanFest? Well, according to the organization itself, it’s an event that “embodies the spirit of celebration and connection, uniting fans, brands, and talent in an immersive experience that transcends the game…” In a nutshell, it’s a family-friendly festival that brings sports fanatics and music lovers together to enjoy gaming experiences, live performances, and immersive activities. It takes place from February 6-9 at Spanish Plaza in the heart of New Orleans.
You may also remember that Cardi launched her vodka-infused whipped cream in 2021. Naming it Whipshots and advertising it as the perfect way to top your favorite cocktail, it has done well enough for her to add on new flavors over the years. She started off with simple flavors like mocha, caramel, and vanilla. Since then, she’s incorporated limited-edition and seasonal flavors like peppermint and pumpkin spice. Now, she’s added a special king cake flavor in honor of the traditional New Orleans cake for the occasion!
What can fans and festival-goers expect? Well, a party, of course! New Orleans is a fun-filled city within itself. Mardi Gras is the party of all parties. The Super Bowl crowd will be adding to the festivities. And let’s not forget, Kendrick Lamar is headlining the game while Cardi B headlines the festival. So, expect a lot of hip hop that weekend too.
