What is Wednesday about?

The series follows the macabre adventures of Wednesday Addams, as she navigates through the supernatural mysteries when she enrolls in Nevermore Academy. The first season spent 20 weeks on the Global Top 10 and reached Top 10 in 93 countries with 252.10 million views, making it Netflix’s most popular English-language TV series so far.

The Season 1 finale ended with a major twist, leaving us with many questions that need answering in the second season. Although there’s not much information regarding Season 2, the show promised more “torture” ahead. The premiere episode is titled “Here We Woe Again”, written by Gough and Millar, and directed by Tim Burton.

Who’s the cast of Wednesday Season 2?

Obviously, Jenna Ortega will be back as Nevermore Academy’s most popular goth, Wednesday, and is also set to executive produce. Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing) will return alongside Ortega.

Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago) have been promoted to series regulars. Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) will also return in guest starring roles.

Along with the familiar faces, some new ones will be joining as series regulars, promising to bring a new dose of darkness to Nevermore Academy: Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski, Boardwalk Empire), Billie Piper (Scoop, I Hate Suzie), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill, Lord of Misrule), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things, The Handmaid’s Tale), and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime, Park Avenue).

Some new – and exciting – guest stars can also be expected: Addams Family actor Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once, Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Crash), Frances O’Connor (The Missing, The Twelve), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method, Somebody I Used to Know), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream), and Joonas Suotamowill.

Who’s the crew of Wednesday Season 2?

The macabre world of Wednesday comes from the beautifully twisted mind of Burton, who will continue his role as director and executive producer in Season 2. Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also direct. Creators and showrunners Gough and Millar executive produce Wednesday alongside fellow EPs Ortega, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, and Meredith Averill.
