Actor and singer, Trevor Jackson has announced his upcoming tour! You may know Trevor as Aaron, Zoey Johnson’s (Yara Shahidi) love interest in the Freeform teen comedy drama, Grown-ish. Or you may know him as the star of the 2018 crime film, Superfly. You may have even come across his music and are just learning about his successful acting career. Despite how you may have come to know about him you’ll soon see that this multifaceted entertainer doesn’t know how to sit down. But with talent like his, it’s much appreciated!
The It’s Complicated Tour, named after his latest album, will kick off on January 16th in Dallas, Texas. Next, he’ll be hitting Houston and Atlanta then finishing the tour in Los Angeles on February 2nd after hitting a few other major cities including New York City and Philadelphia.
The leading songs from his 17-song album, It’s Complicated, have been “He Don’t Know” and “Happy Home.” After the 1st listen it will be very clear that he has come a long way and matured quite a bit since appearing in the Disney Channel musical film Let It Shine in 2012. He’s a full-blown adult with all the drama, temptations, and lessons that come with it. Matching salacious lyrics with beautiful vocal riffs and R&B melodies makes the album sultry, smooth, and passionate. Perfect for a live performance.
Will there be any artists joining him for the tour? So glad you asked. Officially there has been no mention of anyone joining him. With features on the album from Eric Bellinger, Lil Twist, and Malaika Terry, who knows? But with a well-executed and cohesive album such as this one, the show he puts on will stand on its own without the appearance of any other artists.
