Yeonjun from the group Tomorrow x Together is releasing his first solo mixtape. This is the first time that a member of Tomorrow x Together is releasing solo music.
On September 7, 2024, Bighit Music released Yeonjun’s mixtape intro film on their X account. The word ‘disconnect’ shows up early in the video. We then see Yeonjun in a variety of settings, both alone and with others. It’s a bit difficult to know what the concept is, but it reads like a short film, and most of the action takes place in dark, grungy areas. It ends by showing the release date, September 19, 2024.
The next day, Bighit Music released the title and a synopsis for the mixtape. GGUM will be a hip-hop song with an electro sound. The digital cover image shows a figure blowing a bubble with gum.
The first set of concept photos was released on September 10th. One of the photos shows Yeonjun blowing a large bubble, emulating the vibe of the digital cover. The remaining photos display his life as an artist and his more rebellious side, which we also see in the intro film.
The pre-release track, GGUM, comes out on September 19, 2024, and the album of the same name will be available on October 29, 2024.
