Seth Rogen reveals the cast of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem’

During the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards this Saturday, Seth Rogen revealed the full voice cast for the upcoming CG-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem feature, which he is producing.

Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon will voice Ninja Turtles Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael, respectively. Rogen will star as the villainous Bebop with John Cena giving the voice to his pal Rocksteady. The cast also features Jackie Chan as Splinter, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.

Nickelodeon’s first CG-animated theatrical production is directed by Jeff Rowe, who is most known for The Mitchells vs. the Machines. The movie comes from Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies and Point Grey Productions, with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver as producers, in partnership with Ramsey Naito and Jason McConnell, who are overseeing production for Nickelodeon. For Point Grey Productions, Lukas Williams is co-producing and Josh Fagen is overseeing.

“We are beyond thrilled by this world-class cast we’ve assembled to bring these iconic, beloved characters to life in a new chapter of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. This really sets a new bar for this globally celebrated franchise, and we can’t wait to show audiences this film,” said Naito in a statement.

The original story will follow the Ninja Turtle brothers in their adventures in the streets and sewers of New York, “After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem hits theaters on Aug. 4.
