There are plenty of things to look forward to during the holiday season such as decadent desserts, cute sweaters, and quality time with family. However, one of the best parts of the holiday is the Christmas music specials. And although Mariah Carey has been the reigning queen of Christmas for the past decade there’s absolutely room for additional holiday royalty. This may be where Sabrina Carpenter comes in.
On November 11th Sabrina Carpenter took to Instagram to announce her upcoming Netflix Christmas special, “A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter,” named after her 2022 single. She posted, “never seen me and Santa Clause in the same room.” Besides posting the date and time, December 6th at 9PM, there were not many other details to go by… until now.
Fast forward to November 18th and Sabrina provided the full trailer, listing everyone and everything you can expect to see on December 6th. In the trailer she greets us with a Christmas-red sequin corset, black stockings, and black high heeled boots clearly inspired by Mr. Clause himself. The excitement and anticipation of her fans were heard in real time at her Los Angelos Short n’ Sweet Tour stop where it also premiered.
In addition to promising plenty of surprises, she’s confirmed musical duets with Tyla, Chappell Roan, Shania Twain, and Kali Uchis. She’s even confirmed special guest appearances from Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevigne, Kyle Mooney, Sean Astin, Megan Stalter, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell. The special will seemingly include everything from glamour and couture to clever skits and musical duets.
So yes, the holiday season leaves much to look forward to each year. But this year is especially exciting for all the “Carpenters” or Sabrina Carpenter fans out there. Now you get to see Santa and Sabrina in the same room.
