Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt bid farewell to ‘Barbenheimer’ on SNL, covering Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well”

We haven’t had Kenough of Barbenheimer yet!

In a night filled with laughter, music, and a dash of Hollywood rivalry, Ryan Gosling took the stage once again as host of “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) alongside his “The Fall Guy” co-star Emily Blunt and special guest Caitlin Clark. The evening’s festivities kicked off with Gosling’s comedic monologue, which featured a memorable rendition of Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” and playful banter revolving around his iconic Barbie character, Ken.

Gosling, who has hosted SNL twice before, wasted no time diving into the comedic fray. Addressing his previous role as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster “Barbie,” Gosling humorously announced to the audience that he and Ken had to part ways, likening their separation to a breakup. However, true to SNL’s irreverent spirit, Gosling admitted he couldn’t resist delving into the topic a bit further, citing Taylor Swift’s music as the perfect remedy for processing a breakup.

Cue the piano and Gosling’s heartfelt rendition of Swift’s “All Too Well,” with humorous lyrics reflecting on his character’s journey as Ken:

“I shredded Venice Beach, it’s true.
My clothes were tight,
But something about that spandex felt so right.
I left my Rollerblades in that big pink house,
But I’ve still got that fur coat and I’ll wear it right now.”

As Gosling embraced his inner Ken, donning the iconic white fur coat, Emily Blunt made a surprise appearance, playfully chiding Gosling for his continued fixation on Barbie-related content instead of promoting their shared project, “The Fall Guy.” Blunt’s character expressed frustration with Gosling’s “Kenning” antics, leading to a hilarious exchange between the two stars.

The comedic jabs didn’t end there, as Gosling and Blunt engaged in a tongue-in-cheek battle of wits, with Gosling poking fun at Blunt’s role in the film “Oppenheimer” while Blunt defended her movie’s accolades. The playful rivalry culminated in a comical send-off for their respective characters, complete with choreographed dance moves and witty dialogue.
