Giddyup! Seems like Netflix isn’t wasting any time! It’s been less than two weeks since “My Life with the Walter Boys” was added to the streaming platform, yet it’s already being renewed due to its skyrocketing popularity. The 10-episodes drama series is number 1 on Netflix’s global English top 10 TV list, with more than 20 million views since its debut, and it reached Top 10 in 88 countries across the world.
Based on Ali Novak’s Wattpad novel of the same name, “My Life With the Walter Boys” tells the story of Jackie Howard, a 15-year-old Manhattanite that moves to Colorado after losing her family in a tragic accident. She moves in with her guardian Katherine, her mother’s best friend, who is raising ten kids with her husband, George. Adapting to a new life may be challenging, specially when having to navigate through her feelings for “two very different Walter brothers: the reliable and bookish Alex, and the mysterious and troubled Cole.”
“I am beyond thrilled that My Life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for a second season,” series creator Melanie Halsall tells Tudum. “We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that the audience has given the show, and [we] can’t wait to dive back into the world of Silver Falls and the lives of these characters.”
