Fans have wondered if GOT7 would become active again since Jay B and Jinyoung completed their military service, and they now have their answer. GOT7 will release their new album, Winter Heptagon in celebration of 11th anniversary of debut, on January 20, 2025.
GOT7 last released music in 2022, before these members enlisted, and they seem to be following that pattern, as the remaining two members will likely enlist within the next year or two.
It wouldn’t be a GOT7 comeback without spoilers, but this time, Jinyoung was the first member to hint at a new album. Jay B, the leader of GOT7, formally revealed the new album at his recent solo concert on December 7, 2024.
The official GOT7 X account announced the album on December 19, 2024, and that is the only confirmed information that fans have so far.
During his recent fansign in Mumbai, BamBam told fans that he created the title track for the upcoming album. He also teased that after the album, there will be a concert.
In a recent livestream for his fans, Youngjae said that the album has 9 songs and every member contributed. Replying to a fan who asked if they were doing a concert, he said, “Of course we’re doing a concert! The date is already set. It’s not long after the album is released.”
TenAsia reported that the dates of GOT7’s concerts are February 1 and 2, 2025. Although neither the group’s official accounts nor any of the members have confirmed the concert dates, it seems likely given how close they are to the album release.
