The Deadpool & Wolverine movie premiere was held last night in New York City and as expected, the stars were dressed to impress. However, you may be imagining something slightly different from what was actually worn by Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds’ wife, and Gigi Hadid.
We know both women always stun on the red carpet. Both fans and the fashion industry are still talking about Lively’s 2022 Met Gala ensemble where she channeled both the original and current Lady Liberty statue in copper and green. Top model, Gigi Hadid, has an impeccable fashion history as she turns heads at red carpet events all over the world.
Yesterday’s Deadpool & Wolverine movie premiere proved to be no different however they both took different approaches, each of them channeled one of the two main headlining characters. Lively obviously channeled her husband’s character, Deadpool, in a “Deadpool red” jumpsuit while Hadid channeled Hugh Jackman’s character Wolverine, in a “Wolverine yellow” skirt set.

Lively resembled a statuesque superhero in her own right donning an extremely flattering figure-hugging outfit that even included embellishments mimicking Deadpool’s red and black tactical suit. Hadid went a more Y2K fashion route with a yellow strapless Miu Miu bandana shaped top with a matching knee-length skirt. The skirt was accessorized with a large brown suede belt that will give any millennial nostalgia.
Although not the stars of the night, they certainly stole the show by stepping outside of the box in ways that only they can. If someone mentioned the idea of a Y2k Wolverine themed outfit I would have never believed it could be pulled off. And who knew that a Deadpool costume could be so darn flattering? Job well done ladies! Job well done.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” will be released in theaters Friday, July 26th!
