Rising music sensation Dominic Fike’s latest release captivates audiences with his brand new music video for the album ‘Sunburn’. This is the 4th official music video of the album as Fike previously released videos for ‘Mama’s Boy’, ‘Ant Pile’, and ‘Dancing in the Courthouse’.
‘Think Fast’ music video dropped last August 23rd and we are loving the visuals. Kodak has shared on their Instagram the story of the whole process of shooting this short film, told by the director of photography Karim Belkasemi himself.
“When I received a call from Jack and Reed about ‘Think Fast,’ all I knew is that we were going to shoot in Naples, Florida, and that we were going to shoot on film. They wanted the location to inspire the direction. After getting the first batch of film back from that shoot, we found our concept — it drove us to plan two more shoot days back in Los Angeles to finish out the video.”
“The song starts with a mellow energy, and gradually ramps up towards the end. Reed had the idea of incorporating intense wind at the song’s climax, and he pitched using a helicopter to achieve this effect. This led us to search for a location with tall grass to showcase the wind more effectively. There was no shot list and the guys wanted to continue to write as they went.” Belkasemi said.
Directed by Floridaman Reed Bennett and Jack Begert, ‘Think Fast’ challenges conventional music video norms and sets a new standard for artistic storytelling. Watch the full video below.
