“Cry Your Heart Out” Adele Takes Break From Music

Instead of saying “Hello, it’s me,” Adele is saying goodbye, indefinitely. It’s a sad day in music when Adele, arguably one of the most talented musical vocalists of our time, announces she will be taking a break from music. You may be thinking “Rumour Has It” but no. This information comes straight from the artist herself.

As you may know, Adele has been occupied with her 10-show residency in Munich, Germany and 32-show residency in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past year. But instead of taking a short break and getting back to the music studio like we all would have hoped, she is taking a hiatus. She told fans at a recent Munich concert that we won’t be seeing her for, “an incredibly long time.” She continued saying, “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live my life that I’ve been building, and I will miss you terribly.” She made this announcement through tears and if I’m being honest, I think we’re all crying with her.

Of course we are happy for Adele and sending her all the love and support that we can as dedicated fans. We just can’t help but think about what life will be like without her angelic voice, sassy British attitude, and fun personality on that stage.

Her last residency date will be November 23rd (rescheduled from March 30th) in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Colosseum inside Caesars Palace. So, if you can, make it a priority to see one of Adele’s last performances for a very long time. And let’s cross our fingers that she’ll miss us and come back a lot sooner.

We wish we could find “Someone Like You,” Adele, but we’re simply “Crazy for You.”
