Charli XCX Announces ‘Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat’

If you asked us to describe the summer of 2024 in one word, we would say “brat.” October is usually a more restful and cozy time, but Brat is making a comeback!

Charli XCX is set to release her Brat remix album, aptly named Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat, on October 11, 2024.

On September 12, 2024, Charli started promoting the album on her X profile. She posted a photo of a green box with the text “Oct 11” in the corner. The same photo, including the entire album title, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, quickly followed.

Promotions continued with Charli posting snippets of lyrics starting on September 26, 2024. On October 4, 2024, she interrupted the lyric tweets with one announcing the collaborators for the album.

On October 7, she released a photo of a piece of paper showing each song’s name and the collaborator. There are 16 total collaborations on the album, which has 34 songs in total, and the collaborators include Ariana Grande, The 1975, Lorde, Billie Eilish, and Troye Sivan, who she is currently on tour with.

In a time when albums are short and songs are even shorter, it is incredibly exciting to see an artist releasing this long of an album. It is also so fun to experience different artists together, especially ones who release music in opposite genres.

Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat comes out on Friday, October 11, 2024, and can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you listen to music.
