On December 7, 2025, Paris welcomed Big Ocean to the Bataclan for a winter concert — HEARTSIGN — that stood out not only for its musical energy, but also for what it represents in the K-pop industry. As the first known K-pop group composed of deaf and hard-of-hearing members, Big Ocean continue to redefine how live performances can be experienced.
The evening began with two opening acts that quickly energized the venue. STARSEEDZ opened the show with a vibrant set, followed by RISIN’ CREW, whose performance leaned into hip-hop influences and strong stage presence. Together, the two acts successfully set the stage for the headliners.
Big Ocean’s entrance was met with immediate enthusiasm from the crowd. PJ, Jiseok and Chanyeon delivered a visually striking performance built around strong storytelling, synchronized choreography, and expressive sign language. These elements worked together to translate rhythm and emotion in a way that could be experienced by both hearing and non-hearing audience members.
The group opened their own set with “brighT,” immediately capturing the crowd’s attention with a high-energy performance. The audience fully embraced the concert’s Christmas ornament dress code, with fans — the PADOs, whose name means “wave” in Korean — showing off festive creativity. One fan even spent hours handmaking her outfit, highlighting the level of dedication and enthusiasm within the fan community.
