During the Producers Guild Awards, Jamie Lee Curtis chatted with Variety about a so-awaited Freaky Friday sequel “Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen”.
Last November, Curtis also told Variety that “There is no scheduled date, but we’re talking. People are talking. The right people are talking. I’m 64 in a week and Lindsay is 36…[A sequel] lends itself so beautifully, We’re both committed to it, and it’s not ours to make. It’s Disney’s to make and I think they’re interested and we’re talking.”
A moment that happened recently between Jamie Lee Curtis and Diego Luna’s daughter also teased the fans about a possible sequel. His 12 year old daughter Fiona, a big Freaky Friday fan got to meet the star during a red carpet and a video was captured where you can see Curtis whisper something in her ear “I just told her she’s going to the premiere of ‘Freaky Friday 2’ and I told her a secret about it that nobody knows. She’s the only one in the world who knows what I just told her.”
