Although our beloved Bridgerton will not return to Netflix with a 4th season until 2026, we can at least rest assured that the upcoming season – although quite a way off – will be worth the wait.
Showrunners have confirmed that the next season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the free-spirited 2nd oldest son of the Bridgerton family. And the latest update is that Yerin Ha has been casted as Sophie Beckett, Benedict’s love interest. Fans couldn’t be happier!
First, here’s a quick background on Yerin Ha: the Korean-Australian actress is not new to television. You may have seen her play the role of Kwan Ha in the television series Halo or Alice in the television mini-series Bad Behaviour. But if you are unfamiliar with her, you won’t be for long especially since she is set to play Kasha in the upcoming 2024 tv series Dune: Prophecy.
Now let’s get back to Bridgerton. Although there is no 2026 premiere date, fans are obviously very excited to have confirmation of which beautiful actress will finally sweep the handsome maverick that is Benedict Bridgerton off his feet. Despite the novel already disclosing the details of their union, there are still no details on how Sophie will win Benedict over or how their characters will develop on the Netflix series. But that’s the fun in watching!
There has been no official word from Ha at this point but hopefully she is seeing the overwhelming excitement and support of Bridgerton fans welcoming her to the community. Congratulations, Yerin!
